Description
Join us for a night of local history and art, inspired by the 2019 One Book, One San Diego selection, “The Great Believers” by Rebecca Makkai.
Enjoy an interview with Jonathan Hammond, director of “Très Bíen: The Big Heart Of The Big Kitchen,” and Judy Forman, who bought The Big Kitchen in 1980, a diner that turned into a community sanctuary for social justice and activism. Then put your inspiration to paper as Alonso Nunez of Little Fish Comic Book Studio, leads a fun, introductory comic workshop.
Beer, wine and light bites served. All workshop materials provided and attendees will receive a copy of “The Great Believers.”
Cost: $15 per person
